"Military Officer" June 2006 edition has an article "Choppers -- Helicopters 
have proven themselves in military service",  10 pages, which looks at the 
history (including photos) of the military's use of helicopters starting 
with the Army R4 (which was used in the combat zone in Burma 1944/1945. 
Helicopters pictures listed in the article include VS-300, Bell XH15, HNS-1, 
R4, HOS-1, HUP-1 Retriver, HO3S1, HUS-1G, UH1 "Huey" (XH-40, HTL, HU-1), 
UH60 "Black Hawk", HH-43 "Huskie" aka "Pedro", AH=1J "Sea Corba", AH=64, 
MV-22.   Additionally mentioned is CH-46, CH-3# "Jolly Greens", H-19, HRS 
HO4S.

Locally it's always interesting to watch CH47's, UH60's, UH1's, & OH57's, 
operating low level at Westover JARB "Dog Patch" training area.
