Patrick AFB Area Log - Mon, 27 Mar 2006
---------------------------------------
In addition to Military flights we heard comms most of the day from the
Central Florida News Helos flying near the wildfires around the area.
Also the BLADEs landed on Rnwy 02 after coming right overhead my house.
The sound was overwhelming. . .boiling, swirling air rushing and screaming. .
. I was beside myself and could hardly control the camera.

NASA 905?
5:40pm: Inbound Shuttle Landing Facility Rnwy 15.
NASA 905 is one of NASA's B-747 Shuttle Carrier Acft, used to transport the
orbiter back to KSC when it lands at Edwards AFB. I heard the pilot use the
"905" callsign several times, but never "905 heavy." Maybe Tuesday I will
confirm it is the B-747 and not just a mis-identified T-38.
