Yes that is quite a leap from the Blue Angels to the occasionally reported 
NORAD blue designator list

In my many years of monitoring I have never heard a blue designator used in 
the SE SOCC.  But yes, it is the list of Blue designators that were reported 
in use by the Western SOCC right after 9/11. You would have to check with 
one of our left coast members to see if they are still using them. They 
don't use them here in the SE and I have not seen anyone in the NE SOCC 
report them.

I would be suprised if it would still be in use or much less the same as 5 
years ago. NORAD changes their callsigns daily but not their freqs desigs I 
would find that odd.
