A quick look at DOD "publically accessible" FLIP's reveals the following
"Flight Following" frequencies in use:

Fort Carson, CO (Butts AAF): 38.35, 138.15
Fort Stewart, GA (Wright AAF): 41.3, 127.35, 279.625
Fort Drum, NY (Wheeler Sack AAF): 141.025, 397.75
Fort Indiantown Gap, PA (Muir AAF): 40.9
Fort Hood, TX (Hood AAF): 143.1, 357.9
Fort Hood, TX (Longhorn Aux Landing Strip): 38.75, 143.1, 321.0, 357.9
Fort Hood, TX (Robert Gray AAF): 38.75, 143.1, 357.9
Yakima, WA (Vagabond AAF): 41.5, 256.8

Does anyone know if the flight following frequencies are basically used
while the helos/aircraft are working the various ranges, helipads in those
areas?

Ken
