Subject: [MilCom] Altantic Southeast Airlines

Of Interest or not.

During a discussion with ATC today, an Atlantic Southeast Airline CRJ7 said
their new radio callsign ACEY (ACY) was official as of today (14 Mar).

The pilot said yesterday they were CANDLER (CAA), and today they are all ACEY
(ACY). She also said the former name CANDLER was derived from the name of
Candler Field in Atlanta, GA. ACEY is supposed to sound like an
abbreviation for Atlantic Southeast, A-SE.
