Well here in the northeast we've expecting snow by the end of this week BUT
it sure doesn't dampen the airshow fever spirt!!!

Just a reminder that the March 2006 edition "Monitoring Times" magazine
annual air show guide is loaded with potential performers' frequencies that
you can "readily use" to assist you with enjoying your visits to the various
airshow around the country.

Also I might add that one of the best sites to get information on airshows
schedules - large to small is the
International Council of Airshows site:
http://www.airshows.org/list_events.php You also might want
to start at the sites main pages http://www.airshows.org/ where there's
plenty of news, aero performers
bio's as well as cross links to their respective websites.

BTW locally in New England, unfortunately Westfield (MA) Airshow & Rhode
Island AirShow are both
scheduled for the same weekend (6/24 & 6/25).

Recently the Westfield Air show website http://2006westfieldairshow.org/ was
updated to reflect who the
civilian aero performers would be as well as a crosslink to their respective
webpages for detail information.

Preshow arrival this year at KBAF may prove to be challening, due to
construction of a new administration
building that will block the view normally enjoyed from the gravel parking
lot next to the administrative building.
However, I'm sure the fenced in picknic area will still be available just
outside the adminstration building.

Other Airshows in New England will include:

CT: Groton --- 6/17-6/18/06, unknown performers (I'd guess some military
flybys)
MA: Nantucket -- Blue Angels 9/30/06 -- 10/1/06 -- I guess they are going
to try it again, since they cancelled
last year due to a hurricane hitting their base.
ME: Portland --- unknown performers 9/23-9/24/06
RI: North Kingston -- Thunderbirds 6/24-6/25/06
VT: Burlington ---- 8/19 -- Thunderbirds, VT ANG 60th Annivesary base open
house
NH: No shows listed
