Check out the highlights of the April 2006 edition of "Popular
Communications" magazine:
http://www.popular-communications.com/Highlights%20Apr%2006.html

Apparently the "Military Radio Monitoring on VHF, UHF, HF, & Satellites"
brings on a new
columnist named Tom Swisher. Check out the website for additional
information (Rickenbacker ARB
covered in the first was column). It's unclear to me how often this column
would be published. Perhaps the editor of "Pop'Comm who lurks these lists
or the new columnist will let us know.

I don't recall any postings to this list my Tom S., but he may be using a
different name when
posting his log ins. I think in the past Winter SWL Festival in PA, Tom
has been part of the so called
"scanner scum" (their name not mine) see:
http://www.swlfest.com/photos_1998_sundstrom.html.
for a picture of Tom.

BTW the "Scan Tech" column in April also covers "Aviation Action".

Additionally, Steve's Douglass' "Utility Communications Digest" provides a
one topic column:
"Special Report -- Monitoring On The Edge Of A Nuclear Confrontation"......

BTW folks, I don't get paid from Pop Comm for making these posts! ;)
