They are probably still laughing over the male HF-GCS Op on 11175 from Andy
that was on earlier in the day passing EAM traffic. I have heard this fellow
before but it has been some time since I heard him last. Those who have
listened for a long time to this net will remember him. When he finishes up
the EAM he ends the transmission with "Andrews out," and the "out" is
pronounced in long and unique way. He is very entertaining. Reminds me of
the Lajes Op we use to hear in the afternoons east coast time several years
ago that use to be a lot of fun listening to.
The Canadian equivalent to our HF-GCS is the CANFORCE MACS and also has some
interesting listen. If you want to know what these acronyms are go to the MT
Ref Library http://www.monitoringtimes.com/html/glossary.html and use our
handy chart. Oh yes it is free!
Here is a list of frequencies authorized to the Canadian military in the HF
aero off route (OR) portion of the bands. An (*) asterisk indicates the most
active freqs used by CANFORCE and a (**) double asterisk would indicate a
primary comm frequencies. A (***) indicates CanForce frequencies with VOLMET
style weather broadcast.
