Hi guys,

Not intended to be the definitive word on this subject, but over the past
couple of months, only two freqs have been noted in use as SAM CP Andrews
AFB:

141.55 and 378.1.

I do not see 134.1 in any recent posts from this area.

Best regards,

Tony

It is Thurs, 12:50pm EDT (1650z).
FAST 71, a flight of NY-ANG F-16Cs from Syracuse (174FW), is now working
at Avon Park Bombing Range. They were up on 292.2 and are now up on 285.725
discussing laser work.
I believe the BASS 61 flight I previously reported at Avon Park Bombing
Range was also a FAST flight. Thanks to Mark Cleary for hearing the
callsign
more clearly than I did.

Just on a side note, I was told yesterday that the Bama boys are back in
Iraq until September they believed.

So looks like we should put this frequency in one of our banks & constantly
monitor for traffic?

I don't see anything in my db for your area Nighthawk. You can check it but
you probably won't hear much, unless there is something up there we haven't
documented.

Definitely. A lot of the transport acft use that freq. It will surprise
you.
Since it replaced MacDill's 132.775 several years ago, I hear it used
regularly by MacDill visitors, for example the C-130s that stop by for gas
after
completing Caribbean OPBAT support missions and Central American missions.
Might be that they are looking for a llittle more privacy than the UHF
311.0
freq would afford. So you might not expect to hear daily comms on the freq,
but
when you hear it used, it might be from an acft seeking some privacy, and
those are always the most interesting comms. Just because the freq is not
published for your area, does not mean it will not show up in use.
