The FOIA has been trumped by the little concept called National 
Security.  Anything an administration doesn't wish to release is dubbed 
"A Secret" and blacked out.  It's especially egregious with this regime.

This is allegedly legal (or hasn't been litigated yet).


I just heard that there are over 100,000 pages of documents from the 
Eisenhower administration that have not been released, due to National 
Security.  The guy's been out of office since 1961, not to mention no 
longer among us.  What could possibly be THAT secret?


Maybe there's all sorts of sensitive information about the grandmother 
of Valerie Plame :)
