PENSACOLA, FL (AP) -- The Navy's elite Blue Angels aerial demonstration team announced
six new officers on Friday for the team's 2007 season.
The two F/A-18 demonstration pilots, events coordinator, C-130 pilot, flight surgeon and
supply officer will begin shadowing the team in September and join the Blue Angels next
year for their 61st season, said Lt. Cmdr. Garrett D. Kasher, team spokesman.
Selected to fly with the Blue Angels were Marine Capt. Clint C. Harris, 33, of Senath,
Mo., and Marine Maj. Nathan M. Miller, 32, of Lapeer, Mich.
Harris, who is assigned to the Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Training Squadron in
Yuma, Ariz., is a 1996 University of Arkansas graduate. Miller, who is assigned to
Marine Fighter Attack Training Squadron 101 in Miramar, Calif., is a 1995 United States
Air Force Academy graduate.
Navy Lt. Daniel E. McShane III, 36, of Charlotte, N.C., is team's new events
coordinator. He is assigned to Commander, Airborne Command Control and Logistics Wing in
Pt. Mugu, Calif., and is a 1992 University of North Carolina at Charlotte graduate.
Marine Capt. Drew R. Hess, 32, of Rockford, Ill., will fly the team's C-130 transport
plane next year. Hess is assigned to the Third Marine Expeditionary Force in Okinawa,
Japan, and graduated from the University of Illinois in 1996.
Navy Lt. Cmdr. Mark E. Lambert, 32, of Richmond, Va., will serve as the Blue Angels
flight surgeon. The 1996 Naval Academy graduate and 2000 Georgetown University medical
school graduate is assigned to Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, Wash.
Supply officer Navy Lt. John C. Vallier, 29, of Hampton, N.H., who will serve as the
Blue Angel's new supply officer, is assigned to Naval Air Depot North Island in San
Diego, Calif. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 2000.
