[MilCom] F-18's and SouthWest Airlines Close Call

Three post in one day most be a record for
me "LOL"  Local News station Wavy 10 had
a story today about that close call the
F-18's had back in Dec to the Southwest
airline jet over Norfolk Int.They had
audio tape from the controlers and the
F-18's looks like the ATC controler was
confused if the F-18's where going to NAS 
Norfolk or back to NAS Oceana so the controler
lead them too close to Norfolk Int but the F-18's 
saw the departing SW airline in time to avoid
hitting it but came danger close to it.Now what
gets me is the phone call from NAS Oceana to
Nofolk ATC in which they both say there was no
need to file any reports and that it wasnt
really a big deal.I am going to try to
see if Wavy10 will e-mail me a copy 
of that audio tape so I can hear it
for myself there is now a video
clip of the story at
