[MilCom] Clarification concerning Manhattan CAP

This was over Manhattan, KS while Bush was enroute to KSU, while he was
speaking to 9000 people at the facility & during his return Monday, 23 Jan
2006 to Forbes Field @ Topeka, KS.  No comms involving AF-1 or any support
flights (REACH or SAM) were noted (even watched AF-1 take-off fm Forbes on
the TV and nothing was noted as they headed EAST to ANDREWS but then they
were flying away from me.)  Helicopter flight back to FORBES was below my
line of intercept between Manhattan & Forbes.
Entire event was rather anti-climatic and more mundane than an AR, even more
so when the E-3 had to abort & RTB.  However, that seemed to indicate that
DEERHUNTER could take the feed fm the local ATC and provide just as good as
coverage of the situation as if there was an "EYE-in-the-SKY" for
intercepts..or else civilian pilots in KS know how to read and comprehend
instructions concerning Flight Restricted Areas better than others that I
have seen reported from other areas around the country <G><G>.
