Interesting concept in case of any emergencies including terrorist 
attacks/hijackings, etc:

Appears that all passenger ships & large cargo ships already have this 
system installed....
So for those of you who enjoy vacations on cruise ships (not me I'm a land 
luber myself), you can be assured
that in case of a security problem, authorities are going to be alerted 
covertly & instantly...

Now one has to wonder how often USCG, USN and special forces (e.g. Navy 
SEALS) have been practicing
responses to security problems on those large passenger ships, etc?
