One of the LMR systems mentioned in the article is the new P25 system
at Ft Benning (which was also featured in a previous article in MT).
I was posting monthly updates about this new system to the Georgia
forum at RadioReference.com. However, the communications officer at
Ft Benning has sent a letter to RR requesting they remove all
information about the P25 system because "That information is
sensitive and should not be made public in order to eliminate any
possible interference to our radio system".

Note that the US Army never said anything about the information
posted at RR concerning the old EDACS trunked system at Ft Benning.
That information was, and continues to be, available to the public.

I find it interesting that the last 3 letters received at RR
requesting the removal of information have all come from the US Army
and they all have a common theme - that the posting of trunked radio
system information could result in interference to their systems.
