The Virgin Atlantic GlobalFlyer is re-entering US airspace today after
launching from Kennedy Space Center on Wednesday morning. The aircraft has
flown east over the Atlantic, Asia and the Pacific. The original US-airspace
route covered the southern US with a turn up the east coast and then across
the northern Atlantic to the landing site in England. There may be some
variance in that route today, but there will be many opportunities to hear
(and maybe see) the aircraft as it transits across the country at about
45,000 feet.
Virgin Atlantic is requesting video feeds from spotters along the route as
well.
