Well said. Trivializing concerns invites coercion. Reflexive defensiveness by 
military posters is perplexing. No one impugned their integrity. Implying we 
aren't nice to security personnel is nonsensical. They're trained to be 
vigilant? Judgement is the bulk of vigilance. It's why we don't launch missiles at 
radar echoes of the moon. We treat security people politely. Their job does not 
give them carte blanche to behave rudely.
  Military posters are a fine asset to this board and many others. That's 
wasn't the concern expressed. It was to do with surreptitious snooping. Maybe 
harmless. Maybe not.

  Why the indignation? Ever hear of the first ammendment? It protects 
offensive speech first. Why not explore the question rather than stifle it? Questions 
stifled don't stay that way for long. Inexorably they keep coming 'round
