Hummm. In the many years this list has been up not one single member has 
ever had a knock on the door by the authorities for anything post here. One 
member several years ago claimed he was being harassed by the FBI for 
posting here, but that turned out to be a lie on his part to get attention 
and sympathy from those of us on this list. And if he ever does that again, 
he will be banned from this list forever.

There seems to be a myth that mil Intel is watching this list.  Yes there 
are members of the military here, and mil Intel may even be here, but NO ONE 
is going to harass or arrest you for what is posted or said here unless you 
have posted an intercept you heard from an encrypted transmission (which is 
definitely against the law).

Over the years this topic has come up and each time the same old arguments 
are banded about. People throw around the 1934 Act, etc (which they do not 
understand). You can  monitor and you can post basic info about what you 
heard. Detailed transcripts of those comms you heard are always no-no here. 
But basic info is just fine and you are NOT breaking any US laws. Can't 
vouch for areas outside the US, but no one here is going to harass you and 
if they do, they won't be on this list very long. I will see to that 
personally.
