>From my vantage point, less than a dozen miles from KSC, this looks  like a 
bad day to try a Shuttle landing here.  The ceiling is low, the  cloud layer is 
think, the clouds are grey and filled with moisture.
  Moments ago, the Astronaut who is flying Orbiter-landing simulations  in 
NASA 944 shared my sentiments. 
  I just heard him report to Astronaut/Shuttle Pilot Chris Ferguson on  the 
ground, via 126.65: "It does not look like a good day to land a Shuttle here  
today."
  Can't get more definitive than that, can you?
