hi all

sometime on Wednesday a flight of Harriers returned back at RAF Wittering from Afganistan. no idea of how many were in the flight or the callsigns used. apparently the journey back to the UK was horrendous. a journey that could take 4 and a half hours took 9 and three quarter hours owing to the fact of the amount
of countries that they had to fly around in order to get home. on the course of the journey, i think they took gas from the tankers on 4 occasions.. these pilots were well and truely shattered when they arrived back. the amount of countries that still will not let these peacekeeping forces fly across their country is a joke and i am wondering just how many of these countries that wont let them into their airspace benefit from the dangerous job that all of our forces do in order to make the world a better place.... SHAME ON THEM!!

i thought i hadnt heard the female Harrier pilot from Wittering for a while, now i know why.. this was her second tour of Afganistan this year...

God Bless all of our Peacekeeping Forces wherever in the world that they may be and hopefully
they will be reunted with their families asap.

wishing everybody in this group a Merry Christmas

cheers and beers
Cliff from the UK
