[MilCom] monitor project

well i live in pierre,SD in the middle of SD
and i have picked up several clear voice and digital
stuff, off of Milsats with the transponders on
250.350,250.550,250.650(when it is in use),
there is also one person in denver area to,
i pick up the sats with a dj-296 a 10db amp and a
220yagi so i know that it is possable in the mid west
i get s-3,s-5 signals so get out there and listen to
our tax dollars ant work :-)

A few questions...
Has anybody in the midwest heard milcoms sats?
Are these sats in geosync orbit?
Should the antenna be vertically or horizontal in
orientation?
