Antenna will be Radio Shack Model 20-176 VHF Hi/UHF Antenna

I've found that when using the computer/local area network, significiant
portions of the 138-144, 148-150.8 mhz band receive interference.

I'm not sure about having that RS antenna outdoors - I keep hearing one of them - I'm not sure if it's this one - isn't really put together well to stand up to the elements. A little homework needed there.

But hands down, get that antenna outside. You might be able to get away somewhat from the crud from the PC and LAN. Even with good coax, putting the antenna indoors will introduce some attenuation, not to mention making your setup more vulnerable to RFI from your PC/LAN.

Wireless routers are prime suspects when it comes to RFI, as I understand it. It may pay to choke off all cables coming from/going to the router, as well as making them as short as possible. I'd also insure that the coax from the antenna comes nowhere near the PC/LAN if at all possible.
