Fairly routine stuff, with one exception.
257.875: DICEY-42, (T-37B, Sheppard), takeoff Colorado Springs. Switch 387.15
and requesting direct Garden City (KS).
257.875: PARTY-11, (F/A-18C, VFA-131, Oceana), takeoff Colorado Springs.
Switch 387.15 and 346.25.
276.90: URGENT, (E-6B, Offutt), comm checks with ?SELMA? + suffixes (LCC's).
At end of checks, URGENT reports leaving the area and tells LCC's to retune
to normal UHF freq.
370.10, (data stream), also noted active while URGENT in the area.
((Callsign sounded variously like TALMA or SELMA. Very unusual to see this
activity on a Sunday.))
239.025: RAKE-16, (T-1A, Laughlin), transiting Colorado Springs airspace
enroute
Pueblo. Switch Pueblo Approach, 120.10, but too weak to copy.
319.00: FALCON-95, (Unk), with Denver Center, FL 270. Switch 354.15.
((Didn't quite sound like F/A-18, and was headed the wrong way for VFA-137))
319.00: BULLET-11, flight of 2, (?F/A-18F, VFA-2, Oceana?), with Denver
Center, FL 280.
Descending to 270. ((Definitely sounded like F/A-18F xmtr, but am a little
leery to commit 100% to ID due to the fact that 55th FS from Shaw has been in
the area this past week and they also use BULLET callsign.))
257.875: RAIDER-95, (F/A-18, VFA-125, Lemoore), takeoff Colorado Springs.
Climbing to
FL 260 and switching 379.95.
