Sorry for slipping OT for a moment, but an incident occurred at WPAFB this  
afternoon that I thought MilCommers might find of interest.
           A brief,  strong thunderstorm hit the base  around 1530 local. Not 
only did it cause  damage to several buildings, it moved one of the base's 
C-5s twenty feet!   A visiting C-17 was actually pushed off the HAZMAT pad into 
the grass. 
      Funny enough. I live aproximately three  miles from where the 5s are 
parked and we barely got rain.
