NAVY 600 could be two things.
The last 3 digits of their Bureau Number (BuNo) as the callsign.
(this one gets my vote, FWIW)

Or, a Modex number of 6xx would be an E-2C, but they
do not typically ID as NAVY 6xx. The E-2's usually ID
with their squadron callsign and mission number/Modex or
their tail code plus the Modex.

GREYHAWK 01, GREYHAWK 600 or ALPHA DELTA 600.
(just examples, does not mean this was GREYHAWK)
