Hi all,
Another good day here in central Louisiana. I tried (unsuccessfully) to
photograph the Saudi F-15 up close but security (SP's brought in from Eglin for
the very purpose) told be the Boeing guys didn't want anyone near it. Told them
I knew more about the jet than most having worked them at
Lakenheath......didn't help;( I did manage to photograph it as it taxied onto the runway. Drop
me a line if you want to see it. BTW, RSAF F-15's, like their USAF
brothers, are not VHF capable. The RC-7B was another highlight, again, photo if you
want one. Can anyone confirm "LLAMA" as a RC-7 type callsign?
T-38A 62-3690 WM 509th BW 394th CTS arrived as "FAST 14"
T-38A ? WM 509th BW 394th CTS marked "509th BW" arr/dep as "FAST 15"
UH-1H (73)-21692 in out as "GUARD COPTER 692" went to Navy New Orleans.
UC-35A 98-0009 in/out as "PAT 09" I think
C-17A 03-3118 172nd AW 183rd AS MS ANG in the pattern as "RULER 21"
T-1A 95-0043 CB 14th FTW in/out as "MOON 66"
T-1A 95-0045 CB 14th FTW (gray scheme) in/out as "MOON 16"
F-15C 1326 full RSAF marks (Boeing loan) departed as "STAG 21" to Eglin AFB
C-12U 84-0153 l/n 1st MI BN out/in/out/in as "PAT 153A"
C-12U 84-0166 in as "PAT 148" depart to Davison AAF
C-12T 85-1266 l/n VA NG
RC-7B N765MG marked "US Army" on nose, in/out as "sounded like LLAMA 25"
The Whiteman T-38 62-3690 tried to depart at least twice, I think he's gone
u/s. I could have sworn that this was marked "66-690." Anyone else seen this?
Anyone have an ID for its stable mate marked 509th BW? The heat haze was
terrible today, 100+ in the shade, the serial was written very small at the base
of the tail. Even from a few feet away I couldn't read it off. As for the
F-15, I had "STAG" down as a Tyndall callsign, Anyone confirm?
Thanks for any help received. I'm off to tie down the house again.
