Well, I havent said anything here before.
I've been monitoring milcom freq since 1967 (before any books with lists or
Al Gores internet).
And I have been fortunate enough to have been fairly successful in the
communications business for 20 years.

This is all BS.

Someone needs to go look at what the city of New Orleans and the various
parishes and the State spent their Homeland Security communications grant money
on. There has been so much money THROWN away for BS Interoperability radio
equipment that I find it hard to believe they didn't do it as well. - Now I will
say some agencies ARE trying to do whats right....but so many more are just
buying "pretties" with their money because, well, its free money right?

The fine people at Raytheon Jeppson have bilked no telling how many agencies
across the USA for the famed ACU1000 interoperability interface unit.

And speaking of interoperability I liked how the new 5 mhz amateur freqs were
put to use as well.

In my opinion (since I'm the one typing ) you have people in charge of making
decisions that have no business being in charge of making decisions. These
are probably the SAME people we see at the local restaurant's with unruly
children that ey cant control..they KNOW everyone is watching and they KNOW they
need to do something so they just wing it. ---And as we know that usually doesnt
work with the kids either.
