Fred & the Group:

I debated a bit about whether to give you a private versus a public email..
BUT finally decided public would be best!

IMHO this list is about ENJOYING A HOBBY called milcom radio monitoring!!!!
A hobby is defined as "an activity which someone does for pleasure when not
working"...

Frankly I doubt that anyone in that immediate area was listening to their
scanners (or even had scanners) in the fury of the storm!! OR for that
matter search teams are calling in (unsecure comms) about the dead found
(they are calling in about the living!!!, even a rudimentarily listening of
the numerous internet scanner feeds from the disaster areas would reveal
this)... Seems to me alot of people come out of the woodwork with these off
topic items -- You even admit it's off topic!! Yet a search of historic
postings reveals that you (and many others) never posted ANY loggings (at
least in on 2 3/4 yrs of history maintained on my computer system).

BTW don't be so self righteous/judgemental!!! None of us were there to
live this horror & you can bet that the many outstanding medical people who
were forced into watching their patients die due to NO/VERY LIMITED
resources to care for them, will have nightmares for sometime to come!!

Perhaps you could take a bit of time to report what milcom activity you are
monitoring in your area. That's really what this list is about, isn't
it???

While this is off topic, I find it appalling...

Did anyone hear any type of Comms to verify if this really happened..???
An article from "NewsMax" that I received...
"Euthanasia In Louisiana"
Doctors: Hurricane Katrina Forced Us to Kill Patients
snip..snip..snip..
Can anyone verify this from Milcom or other transmissions heard???

Regards to the group..
