Very interesting article about Guard unit restoring comm. to FDs, PDs &
Military Helicopters, etc. while being fired upon by Bad Guys in the
streets.

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The Blackhawk dipped lower, dropping down from a couple
thousand feet to a few hundred, its nose plowing through a smoky haze of
burning wood, leather and rubber.

Below, the streets were mostly dark. The only light came from the occasional
blazing house where, nearby, people gathered in small groups, watching the
flames devour someone's piece of the American dream.

There was nothing else they could do.

The Blackhawk touched down at Naval Air Station New Orleans last week; its
passengers jumped out and the dark gray helicopter hovered, turned and sped
off into the night -- linked to the controlled chaos in the air by a
communications network erected over two days by a special unit of
