Very slow day. Amazing how a foot of snow can mess things up. Finally got
runways plowed in the afternoon.
372.20: JOSA-270, (C-21A), takeoff Colorado Springs.
319.00: BULLET-99, (F/A-18F, VFA-2, Oceana), with Denver Center, FL 280.
Descending to 270 and switching 354.05. ((Possibly land Grand Junction.))
121.00: REACH 1177, (C-130, Little Rock), land; then on to Little Rock.
372.20: EVAC-60005, (C-17A, Charleston), land Colorado Springs.
121.00: JOSA-545, (C-21A), land; then on to Andrews.
239.025: BULLET-41, (F/A-18F, VFA-2), with Colorado Springs Approach.
Declaring an emergency. Can't fly any of the approaches to Colorado Springs and wants
to know how far away Hill is. Has to remain below 10,000 feet. Never did hear
what he finally decided to do.
((Don't think he could make Hill with his fuel remaining, and lots of
mountains higher than 10K between him and any point to the west.))
