  As a monitor of the U-2's at Beale AFB I can tell
  you that the U-2's DO check in with the ATC
  controller of the sector they are flying over...

  The ultra-high freqs. used by the U-2's on the
  West coast are:
  
  285.450 Seattle Cntr.
  296.700 Oakland Cntr.
  364.800 Salt Lake Center
  369.900 L.A. Cntr.
