Hi,

Just coming back to this list after a long hiatus from monitoring milcom on VHF. Thanks to Ron Perron for reminding me of the list name, etc., good to be back.

I'm now primarily an airplane spotter, with tailnumbers my number one prioirty, but I've been interested in HF or VHF in one form or another since 1974.

My home location is in Centreville, Virginia, about 8 nms. S of Washington/Dulles International (KIAD). Work takes me to about 1 nm. W of Fort Belvoir/Davison AAF (KDAA), and within easy viewing of operations there, and distant views of Andrews 1L/1R arrivals and 19L/19R deaprtures, so during the week I'll will try to post a few logs here and there.

Equipment currently consists of the following VHF radios:

BC-3000 XLT
PRO-64
PRO-2040

Now on to two logs from yesterday morning:

121.05/Potomac Departure

PAT 8009 (UC-35A 98-0009 PATD DC ARNG - Fort Belvoir/Davison AAF) departing DAA 8000 for 12. Also read off as such while stuck in traffic...8-)

VENUS 22 (assume C-40C 02-0202 201st AS DC ANG - Andrews AFB) - departing ADW same altitude change from 118.95.

Best regards,

Tony
