[MilCom] Queen's Visit to Regina

Greetings everyone,

Her Majesty The Queen of England, His Royal Highness the Duke of 
Edinburgh, and their entourage are visiting Saskatchewan and Alberta over 
the next two weeks. Right now they are in Regina. They arrived in Regina 
this afternoon at 2230 UTC, aboard a Canadian Forces CC-150 Polaris 
(equivalent to an Airbus A310) from 437 Transport Sqn, 8 Wing, Trenton, 
Ont. Callsign used (as for all flights carrying members of the Royal 
family) was ROYAL 01.

123.8 Winnipeg Centre > 120.1 Regina Terminal > 118.6 Regina Tower > 121.9 
Regina Ground.

In Regina to greet the Queen are the Prime Minister, the Governor General, 
the Lieutenant Governor for Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Premier, and a 
few other dignitaries. 

The callsign ROYAL 01 should be heard again as the Queen and the Duke of 
Edinburgh fly to and from Saskatoon, and around Alberta next week. 

Due to the political instability in Ottawa these days, the Prime Minister 
and the Governor General will be in Ottawa on Thursday, so I'm guessing 
they will leave Regina for Ottawa sometime on Wednesday. Callsigns to 
listen for are CANFORCE 01 for the Prime Minister's aircraft, and RIDEAU 
for the Governor General's aircraft.
