Hi All; I spent Sunday at a nearby parking lot across from the Willow Grove
JRB. Unlike Ken, I wasn't stealthy, with no less than 6 trunk mounted
antennas and 3 on the roof. It wasn't very busy either.

5-1
1620z 266.8000 Hustler 407 (helo) / WG GCA.
1705z 266.8000 Wander or Wunder ( F16) / WG GCA. Departed Phila Dep 291.7
1735z 266.8000 Hustler 407 (helos x 2 ) / WG GCA depart the area.
1740z 119.6000 33427 ( helo ) / WG Tower; departs with Phila 123.8
1750z 119.6000 PAT 71 (Cessna?) / WG Tower, departs w/Phila 123.8
1940z 266.8000 Hustler 407 x 2 / WG GCA; then Tower 340.2
Various 143.125 FM Digital/Encryption; Dan Myers told me about this freq
last year, and it was used heavily Sunday by the MP's.
I also searched the Satcom bands and found interesting comms on 253.7625
NBFM; single inversion scrambling; foreign language - it didn't sound like
Spanish or Portugese, which is usually what is heard in the clear. Also,
254.0625 NBFM voice in the clear, also foreign.
There were the usual digital signals throughout the bands from 243.7 to
269.975 MHz. I use the USB mode on my AR8000 which makes the digital signals
easier to hear. I used an old Antenna specialists Tri-band mag mount on the
roof for one scanner; and a unity gain mag mount cut for 262 MHz on the
other AR8000. Other strange comms: 243.8 sounds like water dripping; 249.105
a beep every 10 seconds. The freqs 260.625 & 260.725 have the same type of
signal.
5/2
0205z  119.9 / 125.15 Mystic 44 (Gap helo) / Reading Tower / Reading App;
multiple apprchs & land; then off to Muir AAF on 126.2 tower.
