291.675: ROMAN-11, reporting hydraulic pressure falling. Has to get stopped
with parking brake. Initially decides to shut down and get towed in. Then
hydraulic pressure goes back to normal and he decides to go ahead and taxi in. Big
mistake. Hydraulic pressure dropped to about 6 fathoms lower than whale poop
on the downslope of the taxiway Nosewheel steering also went south . With no
normal way to stop or steer, he tried frantically to signal the TA people to
throw some chocks under the wheels. Finally got stopped against the side of the
hanger. (Crunch) Weather shop should be able to take some real good
observations now, with the the new viewing port in their wall; although they failed to
see the humor in the situation.
