TOP SECURITY CHANGES ON THE SHUTTLE AFTER 9/11
1. Astronauts must take off space booties during pre-boarding screen by
TSA
2. No knitting needles or pocketknives allowed on shuttle
3. Astronauts must arrive at platform two hours early
4. random screening of all NASA employees named Muhammed
5. astronauts must have picture ID to board
6. the cockpit door will remain locked for the entire trip
7. per FAA regs, the pilot is armed
8. new anti-hijacking system: windows that open
9. if the crew uses a cellphone, Homeland Security will monitor it
10. due to the escalating cost of fuel, meals will be limited to
packaged snacks and a half can of soda (no peanuts)
