[MilCom] OCEANA added to BRAC List

Yesterday the BRAC Commission voted to add OCEANA MASTER JET BASE located in
Virginia Beach, VA to the works-in-progress list of facilities for closure.
While this is not a final determination for closure, it certainly got the
attention of a lot of local politicians and local government officials who
have been pretty lax in letting encroachment on this very important facility
happen.  The vote came as a major surprise to the community leaders as it
was generally understood that the facility would remain off the list in
spite of some determined local anti-jet-noise proponents.  I suspect there
will be redoubled efforts to get Oceana removed from the final BRAC list.
