All,
While monitoring and typing logs I quickly tired of going online or having to pull out a book to look up information on USCG cutters I logged. I found some of the sites and books had conflicting data so I sat down and compiled an RTF file listing classes and specifications of USCG cutters that I could use as a Windows desktop reference guide. I believe it to be as accurate as open source information allows. Included are international callsigns since they double as ALE addresses. Data on aircraft types is included for completeness sake and ease of use. I also included budget data and recent relevant non-aviation related news stories/releases. The file is available for anyone who could use it and if there is an interest I could update it monthly (I doubt many people spend as much time reading releases and USCG news as I do). Again, the emphasis is on non-aviation happenings since aviation is covered in the CG Air List.
Other files I always have available for sharing include the Cothen ALE Id List and a Milcom freq list I compiled in response to requests from out of town visitors to Charleston & Myrtle Beach. I'm also working on some other DHS/DOJ related projects.
Anyone who wants to be on a distribution list for any of these files drop me a line. Please include a short intro if we're not already acquainted.
Regards,
Mark
