It is 8:51pm EST.
I have been listening to JSTARS comms and messaging tests most of the
afternoon on 231.75. Tests relate to JTIDS, Satcom, etc.
Two or three minutes ago I heard a Melbourne JSTARS E-8, just off the
Louisiana peninsula, talking to Northrop Grumman here. I got BOTH sides of the
comms. Don't ask me how. . . possibly propagation, or the acft side came through
the N-G mic if the N-G radio operator kept the mic depressed.
The acft side was not strong, but it was there. I have it recorded.
