[MilCom] Military Intersquad Radio is dead!!!!??

Looks to me like the combat use of those 14 UHF freqs is dead!!!  Apparently 
USMC, special ops & others have elected to go with the Marconi Seleia 
Personal Role Radio, which is a short range digital system that operates in 
the 2.4 ghz range.  I think that the system can actually be interfaced with 
other radio systems

Other than Civil Air Patrol use of the frequencies, I've yet to see any 
postings on this list about those 396.875 to 399.975   mhz band (14 
channels) freqs being utilized by ANY military unit!

I think that the above news release pretty much indicates the actual status 
of this ISR radio system.
