[MilCom] All Hands Message: NGA Publications Going Away - Take Action Now!

This decision in a round-about way, actually highlights the amount of
freedoms we DO enjoy and take for granted. Access to FLIP information
in other countries is tough to come by due to security, paranoia or
lack of $$ for electronic publishing. Why let the American public have
it for free they say?

Its simple: If NGA had their way, they would continue public distro of
their stuff, but not at the expense of loosing the privilege of
distro'ing documents in their entirety it to the warfighter. Who would
they rather release FLIP data to? A scanner hobbyist or a C-17 crew
hauling quake relief supplies to Pakistan ??

Theres probably budget cuts involved in this also. NGA doesn't want to
spend $$ for two versions. Mil FLIP and Public FLIP.

Hmmm.. how did we ever get by without the NGA website I wonder. Search
button ? Patience?
