Subject: [MilCom] VAW-77 supporting hurricane recovery efforts
.... At 1415z WOLF 1 advised an unknown station on 282.425
that the Navy has been tasked with providing 24x7
coverage during the recovery. WOLF advised they would
be orbiting over Greene County, Alabama ...
... 282.425 ? base (haven't been able to make out what
they are calling it)...

Isn't 282.425 one of the BICE UHF frequencies? I've never heard anything on
it in N Texas, but I believe I heard it used in the Houston area a few years
back.
I've been monitoring the voice traffic on 7527 USB. The USCG has been
taking evacuation (seem to be medical patients) recipients to Clearwater and
Mobile from the sound of things. I guess the USCG is set up to use the ALE
frequencies and setup that Customs usually utilizes on the Scan channels.
ALE transmissions are almost non stop too. There is occasional encryption
too.
