Dear Mark -

Appreciate your kind thoughts. Astute listener wrote earlier that military
& other critical HF sites will have BPL buffer zone about them. Doesn't this
validate interference concerns?
Katrina ops illustrate that mobile HF users - rescue ships, aircraft,
vehicles - using less than optimal antennas, would suffer when safety was
paramount. Airborne defense and LE assets are being deployed perhaps to compensate for
damaged ground sites. Wouldn't it be just peachy keen if an AWACS or Customs
Dome a/c experienced bad comms courtesy of 'noise blooms', as some artful BPL
gaffons term them?
BPL is an all purpose jammer, spreading misery to 70 Megs. Many fire,
police, and rescue services still use VHF Lo-band. Peaching to choir, bear in mind
that thugs - honest street variety or twisted boardroom bats - always first
obscure the obvious.
Tediously predictable, BPL shills would drown concerns in a flood of
faetorous prevarications deeper than that which flushed Plaquemine Parish into the
Gulf, 'true, the chopper will hear BPL noise, but he's in a disaster area &
power is probably out'. Quite. Scurrilous wags refer to this dog-doot
disingenuousness thusly: 'Are you going to believe your lying eyes or believe what I tell
you?'

                                                                 -Z.-
