Gentlemen, I'm afraid the old Chief might be right on this one -- SHARES
(and FEMA) nets have been using the HF networks established but they are
largely logistics nets and holding patterns for those unable to participate
in other ways.  Eventually you may hear H & W traffic on the MARS and SHARES
HF nets as well as on the amateur frequencies, but the first priority is
almost entirely local and relates to rescue, damage control and local
logistics.  That's certainly VHF/UHF and SATCOM outfits.  Be patient,
there's plenty enough to go around before this one gets cleaned up!!  Keep a
good thought for those on-scene.
