Hello all
A couple of questions. . IF we are to move to the Seattle area. .I
was wondering if anyone by chance knew what ARTC frequencies I should
have pre programmed in my Pro97. .AND I would assume that the ATC
frequencies for Seattle would be within range of my radio as well? I
see a lot of milair frequencies listed. Here in my area it can be a lot
of fun to listen in to air to air combat training and the like. What
about there? Also I have an HF rig . Icom IC R-75.. I imagine the
monitoring would be a little different for me from that location.. .No
more European/ Trans Atlantic air routes . More pacific flights. Who
controls the air space over that region of the Pacific? I am guessing
"San Francisco radio".. ? Here I hear "New york" "Shannon" and a few
others on rare occasion .. Who would I hear there?
My current radios are
Icom IC R-75
Radio shack scanners are as follows
Pro-2006
Pro95
Pro97
My Pro97 will be my primary radio there as it is here. With all that
there is to monitor in community of that size are the number of
radio's I have enough? I would assume not. I was thinking of dedicating
each radio for different purposes as I do here. Milair and fed com
from my base station scanners. Public safety and general monitoring
for my portables. Any advise or suggestions in this regard would be
appreciated.
Lastly are there any "scanner clubs" that meet in the Seattle area?
THANKS Steve
