Someone was asking about the shuttle ferry flight. Here is an update on
the shuttle transport back to KSC. Coverage will be provided on NASA TV,
and you can view NASA TV on the web if you do not have access to it on
your TV.

NASA'S SHUTTLE DISCOVERY SET FOR RETURN TO KENNEDY SPACE CENTER

NASA's Space Shuttle Discovery ferry flight departs no earlier than
Friday morning, Aug. 19, and arrives at KSC no earlier than 5:30 p.m. EDT,
Saturday. Live coverage of Discovery's departure and arrival will be
available on NASA TV.

The Shuttle's flight and refueling stops depend on weather along the
route. Weather restrictions may cause unexpected changes to the flight
path and arrival delays.

To cover the departure from Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., media must
contact DFRC at: 661/276-3449; or e-mail: alan.brown at nasa.gov today by 5
p.m. EDT. We cannot accommodate foreign nationals for the departure. No
live TV transmissions are allowed from the airfield. Check the DFRC media
information line at: 661/276-2564 for schedule updates.

For arrival time at KSC, journalists should call: 321/867-2525 for
updates. Media must be at the KSC Press Site two hours before arrival time
for transport to the Shuttle Landing Facility (SLF). STS-114 media
credentials will be honored. U.S. media may drive directly to the Press
Site. Foreign media must contact the Press Site at: 321/867-2468 to
arrange for transportation. TV stations must contact the Press Site for
SLF authorizations. Journalists must follow the SLF dress code: no skirts,
shorts, sleeveless shirts; and only closed, flat shoes.

Following the landing, Discovery Vehicle Manager Stephanie Stilson and the
pilots of the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft will be available for interviews at
the SLF.

NASA TV is carried on an MPEG-2 digital signal accessed via satellite
AMC-6, at 72 degrees west longitude, transponder 17C, 4040 MHz, vertical
polarization. It's available in Alaska and Hawaii on AMC-7, at 137 degrees
west longitude, transponder 18C, at 4060 MHz, horizontal polarization. A
Digital Video Broadcast compliant Integrated Receiver Decoder is required
for reception.
