WGNAS has a couple of spots that are actually for observation.  There's
parking for a few cars and in one spot, a few old aircraft on display to
gawk at.  My wife was most impressed, but had to explain to the kids
that we could not take a brief ride in one :)

HOWEVER, if anyone thinks I'm going to test the theory with a scanner,
they're crazier than a congresscritter voting on a pay raise.

exactly.  And you sure as hell don't want to argue with them.
They're typically much better armed than we are and somewhat lacking in
sense of humor.
