Hello Mac & Greg:

Interesting as to type of radios in use... Additionally research reveals:

PRC 148 (small unit tactical radio) see:
http://www.marcorsyscom.usmc.mil/sites/pmcomm/prc148.asp
which is a portabe radio with frequency range 30-512 mhz range am/fm mode

PRC 119 (manpack version of ICOM SINCGARS) see:
http://www.marcorsyscom.usmc.mil/sites/pmcomm/sincgars.asp
which is a vehicle or manpack configuration 30-87.975 mhz range

Wonder what ever happen to the Intersquad Radio IC4008M
http://www.icomamerica.com/press/index2000.asp ? It appears that these low
powered, short range radios may have been replaced by Marconi Selenia's
Personal Role Radio see:
http://www.analisidifesa.it/articolo.shtm/id/2842/ver/EN
http://www.defenseworld.net/Defense-News.asp/var/6008-1

http://www.swatheadsets.com/PRR/PRR_leaflet_web.pdf
http://www.defense-update.com/products/h/h4855prr.htm

Interesting research & discussion... BTW the US Marine Corps site
http://www.marcorsyscom.usmc.mil/sites/pmcomm/index.asp I can't seem to find
the intersquad radio listed.

Ken
