At Beale AFB, 287.0 is the "Decent and Recovery" freq.
that is used by the Mobile to talk the Pilot of the
U-2 down in the last 4 ft. or so prior to landing. I
do not
know if this freq. is used elsewhere, but at Beale, I
hear this freq. being used almost everyday.
