he local NBC affiliate, WWLP-TV 22 ran a short segment on the 1800 hrs
local news.  Basically the exericse is called "Thunderwart" and will end
tomorrow at 1600 hrs local.   Very limited video, basically just the main
gate closed with armed guards.

Barnes Conducts "Thunderwart" Exercises
WESTFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS (WWLP) - Saturday and Sunday some small explosions
may be heard and lots of noise might be coming from Barnes Air Force Base,
but it's only an exercise. The 104th Fighter Wing will be conducting a
two-day practice session called "Thunderwart". Base officials say noise may
be heard in the surrounding area and there is no real attack that will be
going on.
